A Colorful Legacy: From the DeGoede Family to Spinach Bus Ventures
Tom and Jeannette DeGoede founded Tulip Town in 1984. The DeGoedes were Dutch immigrants who brought their tulip-growing expertise to Skagit Valley, Washington.
Their dream blossomed into one of the most beloved tulip farms in the region. In 2019, they sold the farm to Spinach Bus Ventures, a group of local investors passionate about preserving and enhancing this legacy.
Under their leadership, Tulip Town has expanded offerings and introduced delightful guest experiences.

About the Skagit Valley Weather
An “80% chance of rain” might only apply to a single hour, not the whole day. Don’t let it scare you off!
In fact, tulips look breathtaking against dramatic, moody skies, and you’ll often find fewer crowds on drizzly days.
Just bring a rain jacket, waterproof shoes and your camera. You might end up with the most stunning photos of the season.
