Jenny joined the festival board of directors in 2016. She was very involved with our Tulip Ambassador event, bringing it to center court in Cascade Mall so the public could see and enjoy the selection process of our ambassadors (chosen from contestants in fourth or fifth grade). Today Jenny works as a preschool teacher at The Children’s Museum of Skagit County. In her free time, you can find Jenny putzing in her garden, traveling to the Oregon Coast or deciding to tackle home remodeling projects.
Jenny will leave the board in September at the completion of her term as past president of the board. She was instrumental in guiding the festival through the crisis caused by the COVID virus, as she was president as the virus hit in the spring of 2020. Her legacy also includes fostering a close relationship with The Children’s Museum of Skagit County by developing the “Princess Parties” for young tulip fans.
She will be missed (but we still know where to find her)!
