Map & Directions
The map features all the tulip gardens and fields, so it’s simple to visualize and navigate our beautiful region. Our downloadable festival guide and map is packed with must-see attractions. We also offer you valuable info on getting here and getting around.

Quick Tips for Getting Here
It’s easy to reach the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Washington State! We’re just 60 miles north of Seattle and 70 miles south of Vancouver, B.C. along I-5. Our location makes us one of the most popular spring road trips in the Pacific Northwest.
Know the Lay of the Land
The tulip fields bloom in a 15-mile triangle bordered by Highway 20, the Skagit River and the Swinomish Channel. Remember: The gardens and attractions are spread out. That’s why you’ll best enjoy the festival as a driving tour with plenty of scenic stops.
Use Pointers for Flying or Driving In
Getting here is simple, whether you’re flying in from out of state or planning a scenic Pacific Northwest road trip:
- Flying in? The nearest airports are Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) and Bellingham International (BLI). Skagit Valley is about 1 hour north of Seattle and 30 minutes south of Bellingham.
- Driving in? From I-5, use Exit 221 (northbound) or Exit 230 (southbound) for Mount Vernon and La Conner.
Pro tip. Avoid Exit 226 on busy days because it often backs up. Then follow our Festival Map, or use a garden’s street address for GPS.
Time Your Visit
Weekdays are the least crowded. If you’re visiting on a weekend, arrive in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heaviest traffic. You’ll catch softer light for photos, too.
Park Smart
Parking is included with your Tulip Town, Roozengaarde and other garden tickets. Please avoid parking on the roadside: It’s unsafe and damages farmland.

How To Get Around Skagit Valley
Vehicles, bicycles, buses and more are wonderful ways to explore the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Find your mode of transportation and our recommendations.
By Car
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a driving tour by design. You may want to rent a taxi, car or Uber to visit the fields when you arrive here.
Whether you travel by plane, train or bus, a vehicle helps you truly immerse yourself in the festival’s magic. Public transportation to and from the fields can be limited.
We invite you to come and poke around the valley, discovering your favorite eatery, activity, and tulip variety.
By Bicycle
Many bicyclists enjoy traveling the tulip route. You can access most Washington tulip fields, events, attractions and display gardens by bicycle.
If you decide to tour the tulips by bike, be prepared for rainy, windy weather — we suggest dressing in layers. Many of the valley roads are flat and easy to navigate.
However, bike defensively because motorists tend to get excited about visiting the gardens and activities! Watch for changing road conditions — shoulders and speeds vary widely in the tulip areas.
By Skagit Transit
Consider riding Skagit Transit Route 615 to visit the fields when you arrive in Mount Vernon, Washington, for the festival. You’ll depart from Skagit Station.
The route operates Monday through Saturday and takes you on McLean Road. Be sure to get off (or ask the driver to stop) at Beaver Marsh and McLean Road.
From there, you can walk to RoozenGaarde, about one-quarter mile south on Beaver Marsh Road. Or you can walk to Tulip Town, about 1 mile away. Take McLean Road west to Bradshaw, then go north on Bradshaw Road.
