Meet our Board of Directors: Alice Collingwood

Sep 14, 2021

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is governed by a volunteer board of directors, all with their own unique stories and expertise. Today we invite you to meet Alice Collingwood.

Alice is the immediate past president (2020-21) of the board, serving as an officer for 4 years and as a board member before that!

Alice moved to the Skagit Valley in early 2009 and has been a passionate resident ever since (“best place I’ve ever lived”). She moved to here to work full-time for non-profit Summit Assistance Dogs (“creating life-changing partnerships between dogs and people living with disabilities”), has since retired, but remains actively involved.

Prior to moving to the Skagit Valley, Alice spent more than three decades managing marketing communications for leading public-sector and non-profit agencies. She applied her communications and management skills to diverse industries including marine transportation, conventions and tourism, public transit, air quality, and clean vehicles. She also has offered her expertise to several other non-profits both as a volunteer and board president. She is a member and past president of the La Conner Rotary Club.
