Key Bank Tulip Ambassador Event slated for February 9
January 13, 2023

Ambassadors to be chosen from candidates

Tulip Festival staff will be visiting classrooms around Skagit Valley to invite fourth and fifth grade boys and girls to try out to be our 2023 ambassadors. The chosen boy and girl will represent the Tulip Festival at events and activities during the April festival and at other times during the year. Each student will be asked “Why do you Want to be a Tulip Ambassador?” and a surprise question. The candidates will be judged on various criteria (Did they answer the questions, for instance) by a panel from the Tulip Festival Board of Directors. At the end of the evening, the boy and the girl with the top score will be named our ambassadors.

Miss Washington, Regan Gallo, to assist at Ambassador Event

We are very pleased to be able to bring Miss Washington to the ambassador event at Maple Hall on February 9. She will assist throughout the evening and the candidates and their parents will be able to meet her.

KeyBank brings over a decade of sponsorship

KeyBank has stepped up to sponsor the ambassador event, something they have done for over a decade. We are very excited to bring back the event after it was canceled in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID. Parents of interested fourth and fifth graders in Skagit County should complete the application and return it to the Tulip Festival Office. We have it both in English, Ambassador Packet English, and in Spanish Ambassador Application Spanish. Questions? Call our office at 360-428-5959.
