Looking for Flowers? Try RoozenGaarde, Meerkerk Gardens By: Cindy Verge
Flower fans heading up to the Skagit Valley can still find some beautiful settings at RoozenGaarde, which is open year-round. The designers work throughout the year to plant pleasing and inviting combinations of annuals in the beds where tulips and daffodils abound during the year. Another option is to journey onto Whidbey Island and visit Meerkerk Gardens south of Greenbank. The garden has beautiful rhododendrons in bloom right now and other plantings for year-round viewing. The 10-acre garden sits adjacent to a 43-acre forest preserve. For more information, contact them at (360) 678-1912 or www.meerkerkgardens.org.
