Nile Shrine will make annual appearance The US Bank/Kiwanis Tulip Parade is proud to announce that John Curley from King 5's Evening Magazine will be the Honorary Grand Marshall at the annual parade in downtown LaConner at April 11. The parade is slated to start at 2 pm. The Impromptu Tulip Parade got its start over 2 decades ago by the LaConner Kiwanis Club and the area Shrine organization. The impromptu tradition continues today as the parade welcomes day-of-parade entries. The Shrine organization will have several entires in the parade as well as the Schuh Farm train entry. There will be horses and car clubs as well. In addition to the parade festivities, there will be the Tesoro Tulip Frolic in Gilkey Square and Dirty Biter Park that will feature a wine garden, live music at the Comcast Stage, featuring Skagit Swings, and a Kids Zone sponsored by Action Pages.
