Tulip Ambassadors Christian Lathrom and Veronica Pratt meet with Lt. Gov. Brad Owen

Area legislators and state elected officials graciously met with the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Ambassador delegation during their annual Olympia trip.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival was honored by a resolution in both the House and the Senate commemorating the 2009 festival. In addition, the delegation was welcomed into the House Republication caucus and hosted elected officials in the state reception room.

The group met with elected officials from the 45th, 10th and 39th legislative districts. They also met Gov. Chris Gregoire and Lt. Gov Brad Owen. Ambassadors Christian Lathrom and Veronica Pratt presented each official with fresh tulip bunches and a framed 2009 Tulip Festival poster.

The ambassadors are sponsored by Cascade Mall.
