Find your favorite spot People from all around the world will soon converge on the Skagit Valley to take in the inspiring sight of 100s of acres of blooming tulips. Fans of tulips come to the area and then start exploring our valley. Some things you might want to check out: The Battle of the Bands on Saturdays during April at the Outlet Shoppes in Burlington Eat a salmon dinner at the barbecue put on by the Kiwanis April 4-26 Try a new restaurant -- Seeds in LaConner, Max Dales Steak and Chop House in Mount Vernon, Popeye's in Burlington or Adrift in Anacortes each offer unique menu items for visitors. Our valley offers something for everyone and these restaurants are no exception. Looking for lodging? We have bed and breakfasts, hotels, and RV camping. Pioneer Trails in Anacortes offers great RV accommodations. Whispering Firs Bed & Breakfast in Mount Vernon offers a great view of the valley from their ridge-side location and Skagit Valley Casino Resort and the adjacent Skagit Ridge Hotel offer great traditional hotel rooms, plus gaming and entertainment to boot.
