Tulips continue to inspire us, even after they disappear from the fields. Often they are captured in photos or paintings, but our local Mount Vernon High School students have a more creative use of the spent blossoms.

2009 Tulip Festival Poster Artist announced

Watercolorist Andy Sewell’s work will represent the Tulip Festival as the 2009 poster artist.

“Andy really captures the feel of our area and the beauty of the tulip fields,” noted festival Executive Director Cindy Verge. “Tulip fans will recognize his work as he has been at the street fair during the festival for a number of years.”
